“Brain Fog,” Documenting, Wake n’ Bakes

I just woke up from maybe my first decent night of sleep in last last month. Until last night, my brain has been functioning in overdrive trying to get this OG vision out of my head and into the world for you all to interact with and enjoy! with that, I have found that my levels of stress have also gone through the roof! that combination has created the perfect storm for my creativity. But with this storm comes muddy waters as well. I can only describe it as “brain fog” when I get to this point so many thoughts are coming in and I cannot keep track of all of them losing many along the way. It is the loss of those potential ideas that leaves my brain mentally stuck trying to recapture what was lost even seconds before. All of it becomes mentally taxing!

I have found documenting your thoughts can be a huge help to the process. A thought is never lost if you have it recorded somewhere! This way I can take the stresses of keeping all of this information in my head at all times. Whatever way works best for you to get those ideas out of your head and into the world, do it. I have found that recording my thoughts as videos and audio recordings have allowed me to continue my regular thought process while always being able to tap back into the thoughts I had in those individual moments. I swear after trying this, you will surprise yourself at how the burden of carrying all those thoughts slowly falls away. Our brains are great, but technology is also great, so let’s not be prideful and use tech to our advantage and give our brains some much needed rest! While Documenting alone is not enough to take away from the anxiety that comes with too many thoughts, it can be a great first step to combating those moments of brain fog.

So, what about those moments where the anxiety hits anyway and your days feel bogged down with the “fog?” Don’t worry we have finally reached the cannabis portion of this post! Wake n’ Bakes! I am someone who has worked multiple jobs where cannabis was frowned upon and wake n bakes became a risky affair. Now that I have the opportunity to embrace my cannabis lifestyle and push it into the world, I brought the Wake n’ Bake back into my life and let me tell you, I don’t think I will stop!

When I was a lad in my wee smoking years, I remember smoking weed in my car on the way to school with my friends. It was a daily affair and while all of my teachers had to know (we had to of smelled louder than skunk weed sprayed by a skunk) and nobody cared to report it as we assimilated into class just like any other student. The same effect was felt in college. Now when I was smoking before class in order to start my mornings, I didn’t have the sophistication to choose my method of consumption and specific strain and thus it did have both negative and positive effects. Imagine the difference between smoking a heavy sativa or a heavy indica before Spanish class. Sometimes it helped and sometimes it hurt. And that was predominately due to our inability to choose the proper strains and methods of consumption that would unlock a more productive mindset.

Now a-days, I work at a medical dispensary and possess a medical marijuana ( aka cannabis I hate that term) card. I have the options to choose my strains and methods of consumption and ability to tweak my experience as I go to find the perfect combination for my body and brain to function all day at peak performance. It doesn’t take a rocket scientist, just a little trial and error before you find “the sweet spot.” Personally, I have found concentrates with a sativa leaning to be my Wake n’ Bake of choice! This give me a clean headed high predominantly with a mood enhancer effect to keep me uplifted. Now dabs can be a lot for some, but even little dabs can go a long way!

some of the benefits I see when I am waking and baking is the clear headedness I get for most of the day. When dealing with the “brain fog” it can be at its worst in the morning when my brain is still turning on after sleeping all night. Doing this helps me get a jump start to my day! My mood is elevated and I have a more pleasant disposition in my interactions with my surroundings. I am more likely to be active in conversations with others I know as well as strangers. In general it is a pleasant way to deal with the inevitable bullshit that is going to hit you because you know life and all that shit. Sometimes getting a helpful dose cannabis to help dust off that resilience we all have inside of us, and that is quite alright!

This is Cfloody post a wake n bake session and If you are not already a prominent wake n’ baker, please give it a try and remember that there will be some trial and error in the beginning!
